Measuring the partition-to-mullion condition

Use the manufacturer’s measuring guide to document the partition-to-mullion condition before requesting project pricing.

Record widths and height

The measuring guide calls for width measurements in 4 to 5 places because the distance between the drywall partition and glass may vary.

  • Record the top width and bottom width, plus widths at intermediate locations.
  • Measure the height of the location.
  • Indicate which side of the plug abuts the glass window.

Keep the dimension labels associated with the correct location when sharing your project information.

Identify the partition, mullion and glass

Identify the window mullion, drywall and glass at your project location. Record the widths and height using the manufacturer’s measuring guide.

Include these component labels when sharing drawings and measurements for pricing.
